Santa Clara, CA – Andrea Brenholz, President and CEO of leading staffing and consulting firm ATR International (ATR), has been named to Silicon Valley Business Journal’s prestigious “40 Under 40” list for 2021. The annual awards program honors individuals under the age of 40 who impact their industries and communities in Silicon Valley.
Brenholz, known for championing the causes of Hispanic and women-owned businesses in the region, attended a virtual awards ceremony in early August to commemorate the occasion with her fellow nominees. Coming a mere three years after Brenholz was promoted to President and CEO of Santa Clara-based ATR, the award recognizes her poise and leadership during difficult times.
“Being honored by Silicon Valley Business Journal means a lot in the context of current events,” Brenholz said. “Leading ATR through unprecedented times and keeping our workforce intact was something I couldn’t have planned for three years ago. It means a lot that the region’s top publication took notice of those efforts.”
Leading up to the virtual ceremony, Brenholz was asked to give advice to the next generation of business leaders who may someday make their way onto the same hallowed list.
“It’s okay not to be the person who you think you’re supposed to be,” she explained. “Don’t be afraid to admit what you don’t know, and try to find the right people to help you learn that. When anyone’s coming up in business, it’s important to show everyone that you’re competent—sometimes that means owning up to shortcomings and tapping the best person to find a solution.”
