It’s the start of a long holiday weekend and the unofficial end to the summer, so it seemed like a good day to post a little humor. But before you click to laugh, I hope you’ll click to give: our neighbors in Louisiana and other areas of the Gulf Coast have been hit hard again by a damaging hurricane. Summertime is also when the nation’s blood supply traditionally drops to critically low levels. Please think about how you might help.

For your convenience, here is the link to the Red Cross, where you can support their relief efforts and find out about blood drives in your area. They are just one worthy organization though. Please support your favorite charity or give back to your community in the way that suits you best.

I hope you all have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!
