Hi, I’m Meghan Freeman. As a Regional Director at ATR, I lead the San Diego recruiting team where I oversee all activity to ensure proper coverage of requisitions and quality client service. I am responsible for the interviewing, hiring and training of new team members in the San Diego office and provide training and support on client processes and procedures and monitoring key performance measures with recruiters. I also manage one of our enterprise-level clients where I work closely with both the recruiting teams and client representatives. I assign requisitions and assist our recruiting teams with day to day activities, questions, sourcing, negotiations, hiring and onboarding.
ADVICE FOR CANDIDATES:
Be prepared for every interview and be confident in your abilities. I always tell my candidates to speak about the experience they do have as opposed to the experience they don’t. When you emphasize what you haven’t done, you are basically telling the interviewer why you aren’t a good fit. Concentrate on the experience you do have and how it relates to the position.
ADVICE FOR HIRING MANAGERS:
Timing is everything! If you see a candidate that you like or “just might work”, give them a chance and set up an interview. Good candidates are not available for very long and if you don’t make them an offer, someone else will.
