For more than 30 years, our successes at ATR have been driven by our team of dedicated professionals. Our people are at the core of everything we do. With this in mind, our Employee Spotlight series is offering a behind-the-scenes look at the people who make our ATR family great. This month, we’re featuring Justin Krebs, Account Executive for New Business Development, who is one of our newest employees! We’re proud to have Justin on our team in the Santa Clara location. Justin is taking us backstage to learn more about his past work experience, his career strengths, and what has brought him to join the ATR team.

1. Briefly describe your ATR journey.

My journey is somewhat unique. In my previous role I was working for the PGA TOUR selling sponsorships for a local tournament and ATR was one of our best sponsors year after year. I got to know them on a personal level and really admired their commitment to charitable giveback and community support. After the tournament concluded, I expressed interest in joining their company and they felt that my skillset would translate well into the staffing realm, and the rest is history.

2. What was the strongest factor that made you want to join ATR?

It was two-fold. ATR is a family-owned business that has been a leader in the industry for over 30 years, and I feel that I can add to that tradition by bringing in new accounts which will hopefully set them up for success over the next thirty years. Secondly, staffing was an industry that always intrigued me and I felt like now was the best time to pursue it.

3. As a new member of the team, what has been the most interesting thing you’ve learned or experience you’ve had since you started?

Technology is continually evolving and changing, and while it does impact our industry, at the end of the day, this industry is still relationship-based and people-based. On the sales side, companies need to trust that you will do right by them and have their best interest in mind. On the recruiting side, candidates need to trust you and know that you have their best interest in mind as well. At the end of the day it is about trust and respect.

4. What do you love most about your job?

The ability to connect with people and build meaningful relationships. This industry gives you the opportunity to solve problems for companies and help them achieve greater success.

5. What do you admire most about ATR?

ATR is a family-owned business and they treat their employees like family too. You really feel that when you are in the office. They also put a big emphasis on volunteering in your local communities. It is a part of their core culture and I have great admiration for that.

6. Why would a prospect want to work with you?

When trying to earn new business from a company, I try to bring the human element into it. I view myself as a consultant and I am trying to solve a problem for them to make their job easier. I listen as much as possible, build the relationship, earn their trust, and am focused on building a long-term partnership.

7. What’s one thing that would suprise the rest of the ATR team?

When I was twelve years old, I played on a travel baseball team that competed in Beijing, China.

8. In one word, how would anyone that’s worked with you before describe you?

Loyal.
