Rebecca Barnhart - Talent Sourcer
B.A. in Public Health - University of South Carolina
Hi, i’m Rebecca. My role at ATR allows me to source candidates for a variety of roles provided by our many different clients. Sourcing includes the finding of potential candidates, review of their resumes, consultation with them to ensure they are the best potential candidates for a given role and guiding them through the submittal and interview process.
I love that everyone in the staffing industry just kind of ended up here. This typically isn’t an industry that many seek out. Everyone I’ve met has such varied backgrounds with such a broad range of skill sets, but they all somehow complement each other so well. Diversity is key in a workplace and I think that ATR provides that at the best level possible; to not only better the company but every candidate and client we work with, as well.
For candidates: Be 100% open and transparent about what you want and where your at in the job market. Our job is to help you, and we genuinely want to. The best way for us to do so, is by being as educated as possible about the clients and the candidate we come in contact with.
For clients: Remember when you were once in the job market. A lot comes into play at this time in people’s lives; it’s stressful and exciting at the same time. Clients should also be as transparent as possible, and timely when considering candidates.
“Do something today that your future self will thank you for.”
I tend to be a planner, which allows for many pros but also many cons. I try to live in the moment but also be realistic at the same time. You never know what may happen or where our lives will take us. But if you follow your morals and intuition, you’ll most likely end up somewhere pretty great.
Hobbies and Interests:
I have a French Bulldog named Pip that I’m obsessed with, so most of my free time is spent with her. I also enjoy going on runs and reading crime related books.
